This is why most of you are visiting this website!

I've received so much information that it will take a while for me to get it all in and available.
I hope it is in a usable format, I'm always open to better ways of laying this out!

Make sure you check the History Section and the various state pages!

Military Records Pension Applications, Service Records and other military related stories.
  Newspaper Clippings

Records from the Ovid Bee - A newspaper in Seneca County, NY

Frank L. Swarthout - Gladys' Father

  Cemeteries Cemetery Listings of Swarthout's
Grave Stones   Listing of pictures of graves available from the webmaster
Second Source Swartwout Chronicles  Information about this key book, its history and a census. Also, how you can get a copy on CD-ROM for your use.

Descendants of Johnathan Swarthout - The Webmaster's Lineage - I can verify and provide documentation for anything I have listed on this page. There is a lot of erroneous information floating out on the web. Anybody that can find solid information on Johnathan Swarthout's parents would be great. (Note: Nathaniel IS NOT Johnathan's father.)

Descendants of Tomys Swartwout - This is the big one! This is the webmaster's database. This is a good sized page, but it is all text. NOTE: No guarentee is made as to the accuracy of the listing here, references are linked on some items. I can attempt to provide further detail on the information listed, typically from the records of Mary Rindfleisch.

A Swartwout to Swartwood Line - This shows one place where the name changed from Swartwout to Swartwood.

US GenWeb Sites are an excellent resource.  There are many references to Swartwout's in The History of Cayuga County 1789-1879
